The Tribune had reports of a bear in Hixton Forest just about 3/4 mile from La Crosse St and Hwy 16. I think it is a different bear than that lives close to us for it is only about 250 lbs. Say it is looking for food and love. Well he/she is not getting either from me. No hiking there for me or the grandchildren for awhile. The tribune says "it doesn't pose a risk to humans and is a sign of quality ecosystem", WHAT does that mean??????? No risk for humans if no one gets close. Well if I hear more I will let you know. TRACKING THE BEAR
